I built Verbatim after my family recorded ourselves telling old stories. I wanted everyone to be able to watch, but I didn’t want to put the videos on the public internet.

I also wanted to find “that story about the dog” without scrubbing through an hour of footage. So Verbatim transcribes the video, separates the speakers, and lets you search for the bit you remember.

Instead of renting space forever, you pay once when you publish a video. Paid videos currently start at $15.

Need more room later? You can upgrade a video at any time and pay only the difference. Tiers don’t go down after purchase because that single payment funds the video’s ongoing storage and delivery for the life of the service. If you simply chose the wrong tier, email me and I’ll help correct it.
